Free American Foxtrot Class with Emily Coles! Saturday, 12/8/12, 1-3 p.m.

by Kenzie on November 12, 2012

Glide over to the African American Art & Culture Complex (762 Fulton Street, S.F., CA 94102) for an American Foxtrot class! In a closed ballroom position, the dancers step to a slow-slow-quick-quick basic rhythm across the floor. American Foxtrot is perfect for social dancing because it is easy to learn and can be done to a versatile array of music.

About our instructor:

Emily Coles began her dance career at the ripe age of 5 trying dances in the styles of modern, jazz, tap, improv, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian Samba, American Tribal Bellydance, Salsa, American Rhythm and smooth ballroom dances. Emily now instructs private and group lessons throughout the Bay Area in some of these styles. Along with teaching, Emily competes internationally in the same-sex Standard and Latin dance. She and her dance partner hold many national championship titles, including first in Latin, Standard and 10-Dence events.
