This is where you come in… we’re asking for your help by participating in and/or donating  to the event to keep 2013 programs accessible! Every $10 you contribute or raise allows one person at risk for or with diabetes to participate in our monthly program.

Our supervised dance program is for T1, T2, LADA and friends and families. It provides ongoing health screenings at each session (A1C, blood pressure, weight and pre and post-dance glucose checks) and tracks progress over time with a secure Internet patient portal; consultation with a certified diabetes educator and dietitian; a 45 minute dance lesson from a qualified instructor and an optional 45 minute free style dance to DJ music.

Your company can also donate to Dance-a-thon in a number of ways. Through a Direct Sponsorship which provides benefits far beyond mere recognition of your participation.

We also need food and beverages to help energize and sustain dancers, great products to reward as prizes and items for our dancer bags (including gift certificates, coupons, product samples or other promotional items).

Volunteers are needed for the day of the event. You may also join the Dance-a-thon Committee. It works year-round to plan our annual event and is a great opportunity to work actively with a group of peers, in an area of your interest, and all for a great cause!  Just let Michelle Barth, our Volunteer Chair, know your interest. Send her an email at

Let’s kick off local World Diabetes Day activities with this dance.  Thank you for your interest in your health, your community, and our organization that is trying to impact both.

For any questions, please contact our founder, Theresa Garnero at or call 1-877-765-4386.
